I do not believe reading novels is a waste of time. You can learn valuable lessons from many classic and modern novels. You can also expand your vocabulary by reading and learn about things you.
Reading fiction is not a waste of time depending on what your reading. Growing up all I liked to read was fiction.Even now being a teenager I only read fiction unless I have to read non-fiction. But I don't read the regular teen fiction you think of. I don't read about vampires and witches and stupid love stories every time,but don't get me wrong I love a good love story. But I try to read.
They are definitely not a waste of time and fiction books are suitable for any age. Fiction books always have a moral to their story, no matter what age level you are reading at. These novels teach us the values of love, friendship, family and many other things.
Furthermore, reading well-written novels teaches us moral values and takes us on a journey of self-discovery. If we think carefully about the right and wrong choices made by the characters, we acquire the habit of thinking critically and making wise decisions. This is, of course, part of growing up into responsible adults.
